Cristiano Zanca professionally deals with software development for eCommerce with WooCommerce and by passion he is an active protagonist in the international WordPress community. Among his various positions in the community, Cristiano stands out as WordPress Italian Support Lead . Now I'm a programmer, but over time I've dealt with many things. In fact, I started by selling Internet connections, I dealt with hardware, software, graphics and code. Basically everything related to the Internet. Over time, all these experiences have taught me to analyze my projects from heterogeneous points of view.
Everything fits into my toolbox, code, graphics, hardware, etc. I have been creating Country Email List websites for many years. Actually since static HTML code was used. I then followed the development of dynamic technologies, also creating my own CMS in PHP. With my development experiences I have gained awareness of the importance of Open Source software, of the strategic value of the community in optimizing software in all its aspects (reliability, security, privacy, etc.). In 2015 the WordPress support group in Italian was born , thanks to which the support service in Italian is offered as part of the international support service.
The important thing is that, being an international structure, we benefit from policies that are the result of the years of experience of all the WordPress.org support groups in the world. The coordination of the groups takes place on Slack , where everyone brings their own culture and learns to manage and solve problems also from a psychological point of view. In fact, for a qualified technical support service, the acquisition of psychological sensitivity by those providing assistance is fundamental. Q3: What is your role at WordPress.org? I am the Italian contact person for international support. My work includes coordinating the Italian moderators in a Slack channel in which we coordinate the management of the topics. I would like to clarify a misunderstanding about the concept of volunteering in our field.
