An esoteric game mechanics question.

Hi,

If you take a long range blind shot and light a tank on fire, and they get spotted afterwards, do you split the remaining fire damage with the spotter?
And conversely, if you shoot a spotted tank and light them on fire and then they move to cover and disappear, do you not split the damage after they've disappeared?

Please help.
